Start Right Insurance was a business insurance agency web app for business owners, from startups to established companies, with a three-step quote form and a free cyber risk scan. Behind the public pages sat a private CRM where agents managed leads, clients, policies, renewals and appointments.

The brief

The goal was one system for both sides of an insurance agency: public pages that bring in business owners, and a workspace where agents carry a lead through to a policy and its renewal. The free cyber scan gives an owner something useful up front: a 0 to 100 risk score for their website, a PDF report, and a way to book time with an agent.

What I built

Landing page with a three-step quote form: business details, a choice of 21 coverage types in six groups, then contact details
Free cyber risk scan that runs eight checks at once, from SSL grade and email DNS records to security headers, domain and IP reputation, threat intel and subdomains
Scan reports released after email verification, with a generated PDF, a booking widget, and a limit of five new scans per IP address a day
Agent CRM for leads, clients, policies and documents, with CSV lead import, lead-to-client conversion, notes and an activity log
Public appointment booking that reads each agent’s working hours and blocked times, assigns an agent automatically and emails reminders 24 hours and 1 hour ahead
Google Calendar connection for agents, with policy renewal dates synced to their calendar
Email tools: templates with merge fields, signatures, scheduled sends, bulk campaigns capped at 500 a day per agent, and renewal emails at 45, 30, 15 and 7 days out
Agent training area with study guides, flashcards and practice tests, plus a library of sales scripts agents can favorite and customize
