FlipWeiser
FlipWeiser is a mobile-first app for eBay resellers, now in private build with a public waitlist. A reseller photographs an item and the app identifies it, checks sold comps, projects net profit after fees, and drafts a full eBay listing with a cleaned-up cover photo.

The brief
Resellers make two calls on every item: whether a thrift-store find is worth buying, and how to list it well once it is home. I wanted one phone app to cover both, with a Buy or Skip verdict while sourcing, a complete eBay listing drafted from photos, and a cleaner cover image, while keeping the AI cost per item low.
What I built
- Installable web app with an offline action queue, barcode scanning, and dark mode, plus a separate marketing site with waitlist signup
- Tiered photo identification that tries a free AI model first and steps up to more capable models only when confidence falls below a per-category threshold
- Sold-comp research with rule-based relevance scoring and an AI filter, feeding a Profit Estimator that returns a Buy or Skip verdict and plain-language sales velocity
- eBay integration: eBay account sign-in, category and condition mapping from eBay’s taxonomy, AI item-specifics suggestions, listing create and edit with up to 24 photos, and inventory and order sync
- Handling for eBay edge cases: per-category allowed conditions, publish retries when a condition is rejected, and support for eBay’s Marketplace Account Deletion notices
- In-browser image enhancement with background removal and an AI-assisted mask painter for retouching cover photos
- Inventory tracking with shelf and bin locations, purchase cost, and shipping costs rolled into a month-to-date profit dashboard
